Why I Deleted the Previous Posts

I didn't want to write the posts regarding the Duggars trip to Wisconsin in the first place. I was more or less goaded into writing them by one of the visitors here and when she didn't like my take on their trip, she "left" our community. I never felt comfortable with having those posts on my blog from the beginning and that's why I've taken them down. I've been accused by some of giving the Duggars a free pass. Believe what you want to believe, I am taking the stance that they did make a mistake, however until you, yourself have had a child born into a NICU unit, you have absolutely no right WHATSOEVER to judge anything a family that has a NICU baby does. I don't care if they are on TV and that opens them up to public debate.

I never claimed to be an investigative reporter. I'm not in the mood to delve into their personal lives and seek out what they do when they aren't on camera. Obviously they are doing things we aren't seeing. Obviously this trip to Wisconsin was a mistake. However, it's not something I want any part of. They will reap enough backlash from it without little old me and this tiny blog.

As for this blog, it's time to move forward with more Duggar posts and more positivity. As I said, I wasn't comfortable with those posts and won't be posting anything I'm not comfortable with. I still welcome suggestions, but please make them subjects with a postive note to them--they don't have to be pro-Duggar, but they can still be approached in a postive way.

  1. It's your blog and you may do as you like with it but I just wanted to say that I'm happy you did. I didn't feel that it was the usual fun discussion, it felt more like kicking someone when they're down.

  2. Like I said, from the moment I posted them I had a knot in my stomach that I couldn't truly identify and I'm glad I took them down. And when I received a comment from the girl who suggested the post in the first place telling me she was disappointed in my stance and she was leaving, I knew I had made a mistake writing about it in the first place. So I decided to just erase it all. And I agree, why kick someone when they are down? Plenty of other blogs and message boards are doing that and we don't need to.

  3. Ok that came out with many gramatical errors but the sentiment is correct. I'm sure many of us who truly do respect and even love the Duggar family may disagree with their trip to Wisconsin. Those of you who feel this blog is giving them a free pass can continue to feel that way, I don't think I am, I've said their trip was a mistake, but we're all allowed to make mistakes. Frankly, I wouldn't want my parenting skills filmed for the world to see.

I was clear from the beginning what this blog was about and my stance on the Duggars. I was also clear that I didn't agree with most of their beliefs. I'm open and I'm honest.

But I will say this, if you want to discuss their trip to Wisconsin I invite you to go somewhere else to do it, there are several other blogs burning up the internet with that topic, this blog isn't one of them.

Thank you Chris, for your supportive words. I really needed to hear them right now :)

  4. You are welcome Marybeth. It's a good blog and repectful. People agree and they disagree but it is with repect for the Duggars and for each other. There's a reason I don't go to any other blog...
You keep following that instinct of yours :)

  9. I'm here LOL I just don't get updates when you post a new blog.... so when I realize I haven't gotten any "Duggar" emails in a while I come looking...

Any one know how to get updates when a new BLOG comes up? Once I find the new blog I get the updated comments but I can't find anywhere to get emails when a new blog gets posted...

That's how I get emails when they some one replies.... but when you post new blogs I don't get emails... to find your new blog posts I have to go to my blogger dashboard and I'm just lazy (freely admit it) and don't go check till AFTER I notice the Duggar emails have dropped off.... but if it makes you feel any better I do the same thing with the other Duggar blogs... which is why 5-6 days into the month I get around to remembering "oh yeah we swapped months that's why the emails stopped coming"
